"I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops." ---- Stephen Jay Gould

You listen with awe to the stories of founders, artists, scientists who created big things that changed the world.

But at some point you come to understand that the "luck" or "serendipity" these people had to find a co-founder, score their first customer, or get their first grant is not distributed equally. Right now the American Dream can only be accessed in a few parts of the country, and is only accessible to some people.

At Adjacent our goal is to change this story by re-thinking everything about how ideas flow in our society by building a platform where anyone, anywhere can connect to the people around them based on the ideas they're working on and build a community to help make big things happen.
